Missions Meeting in our Board Room
This summer Show Hope is taking several groups to China kicking them off with a Chapman family trip (and a few close family friends) to dedicate and open Maria’s Big House of Hope in early July. Last night, our team hosted the second of a series of meetings for trip participants from the local Nashville community.
In addition to updated trip logistics and news, the evening centered around a teaching by a guest pastor exhorting the team to seriously heed the notion of “Spiritial Preparedness”. While the trips are a couple months away still, it was inspirational and a wonderful reminder to begin to prepare our souls for what lies ahead, which like most mission trips entails a journey filled with unknowns. In my experience, often, when we are heading into a spiritual battle zone, like the ones that exists in the realm of orphan care, not to mention in a country like China there is opposition. This meeting was critical to all who attended to begin, or for some continue, to prepare our hearts for the work ahead. Join me in praying for the Show Hope teams as they prepare their hearts to be used mightily by Our Heavenly Father, the Father to the Fatherless, in caring for His kids .
