My wife and I had the privilege of spending time this weekend with some special friends who recently adopted from China (see Lydia in photo). It was extra special for me, not only because this missionary family are close friends of ours, but Show Hope helped them adopt with a financial grant.
I often hear about wonderful stories of God’s goodness and faithfulness through written testimonies and pictures and on occasion meet the benefactors of our program at different events, but to first hand witness the fruit of our labor and listen to their enduring story of adoption inspired me knowing that so many of God’s people had a hand in it - including Show Hope and its faithful supporters.
Their story was filled with moments of wanting to give up and uncertainty of what God was doing over the 5 year period but like many, it was a testimony of obedience. The result - a beautifully transformed life, altered significantly forever. “The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it” 1 Thess. 5:24 God’s perfect plan for your life combined with obedient steps of faith equals a changed life (or lives). A winning combination.
