Paul and Lori King found themselves answering the call to adopt, but in a situation quite unlike the one they imagined for themselves. The King’s began to investigate adoption with the impression that if they adopted from the chosen country of China, they would bring home a little girl. However, as they began the process, the couple found waiting child lists filled with boys who were not being adopted because of age, special needs, or simply because they were boys.
The King’s found themselves drawn to a 4-year old little boy with mild cerebral palsy. With the help of a Show Hope adoption aid grant, the family brought home Levi, who fits in perfectly with his forever family.
Our adoption journey began several years ago with a strong sense that we needed to do more than what we were doing to provide for the needs of the orphaned child. Statistics show that every year millions of children age out of the system without ever belonging to a loving family…We are so thankful that we can now share the victory of bringing Levi home with Show Hope and their sponsors. Thank you!
