When Lander was first admitted to our care, he was very underweight, had a noticeable cough and was diagnosed with Down syndrome. After struggling for months to overcome his chest cold, we are happy to report the care that Show Hope sponsors provide has allowed Lander to finally kick his cough!
Lander lives in the Elephant Room on the 4th floor of MBHOH. Though he can’t walk yet, he can usually be found in a baby bouncer in the hallways going between the nursery and the washroom with Lucy, who is also in the Elephant Room.
Show Hope staff member Mikey Shook often visits the Elephant Room because of its proximity to his office, and Lander soon discovered he had a new buddy to hold him. He is a very laid back baby who rarely cries or gets fussy, and his nannies clearly adore him. Even with his calm manner, this little guy is very curious and won’t sit on one spot long if there is something else going on near him! Thanks to Show Hope sponsors, Lander is given the opportunity to grow, explore and thrive each day.
