United Tour Ends, But Blessings Continue

United Tour TableWow. It is hard to believe in just one month’s time, the tour visited over 24 cities. I always thought 30 days was a long time and a lot can be accomplished, but to visit that many cities and put on that many shows is quite an achievement. Congratulations to all who made it happen each day out on the road including the crew, the managers and artists for this historic season of inspiration, ministry and true worship.

I had the privilege, again, to journey out there with SCC for the west coast run, not to mention a few other shows throughout the tour, and go from backstage dressing rooms praying with SCC to front hallways hanging with our volunteers and meeting many concert attendees.

I must say that SCC and Michael W. were not the only impressive ones performing that night! Our volunteers rocked! Kudos to all 450+ of them for coming to the show to serve and being message carriers for us on behalf of the orphan and living out Proverbs 31:8 (“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves”). Christ said, “I have come to serve, not to be served” and to go about serving in this manner with such zeal, love and tenderness was astonishing to watch.

Thanks to our new Show Hope Sponsors for heeding the call in their lives to stand with us and help orphans, now we will be able to assist hundreds more orphans find forever families each year with your on-going monthly commitment. You are not just a part of changing the life of a waiting child every month, but also a big part of our family. Some have called the United Tour historical, but your actions by Showing Hope to the least will be the most historical. You may have attended a show, but now you are pulling up a chair to a new picture as we together watch and see what the Lord does through Show Hope Sponsorship.

Looking Ahead

Scott Hasenbalg

Our Show Hope “tree” is in many ways a picture of this ministry and reflects our continued desire for Show Hope in the coming years. A tree is most sustained by that which is unseen: its root system. As is the case for Show Hope, it is what goes on beneath the surface that enables us to grow and bear much fruit. During these early years, our faithful supporters have helped us to take root through steadfast commitment and prayers, and for this we are forever grateful.

Taking Root
It was God who directed and enabled the “roots” of this ministry to take hold, and we can be confident that He will guide our steps to impact many more lives around the world for His glory. Proverbs 16:9 reads, “A man makes a plan in his heart, but God directs his path.” Instead of a lofty strategy that would solve the world’s orphan crisis, our plan quite simply is to go deeper into the areas of ministry that God has entrusted to us, one waiting child at a time.
